The Dog & Partridge, High Lane – 10km

Run down to bulls head and cross over A6 to get on the canal. Follow canal for 5km until you reach a marina with large white house on right. Leave canal at gate opposite white house and turn right on tarmac road. Road shortly meets middlewood way (MW) at bridge, join MW on far side of bridge. Follow MW for 4.5Km passing over rail line until A6. Run back uphill until dog and partridge.

Poor attendance again this week with only four warriors making it out. Maybe just as well since two of us got lost on what at first glance appeared to be a very simple route. I turned for home too early and Steve C turned too late following two imposters who he thought were Owen and Kev (but turned out to be Karl Pilkington and Shirley Temple). Not only that but the Dog & Partridge is the first pub we’ve visited in 3 years of Warrior runs that doesn’t sell crisps. What’s next? A pub that doesn’t sell bitter?
