The Gateway, East Didsbury – 10km
Another low turnout for this, the first warrior meet since spring has sprung. Also my first absence (I think) since the start of this blog in October. I had a good excuse as I was attending a party at Aumbry (Manchester’s finest restaurant) to celebrate their recent refurbishment. So for once I was consuming fine wine and canapes on a Wednesday night instead of bitter and pork scratchings.
Since the clocks have gone forward it was the first opportunity for an off-road route:

From Gateway, down Wilmslow Road, onto river and down to Pyramid. Back up Brinksway/Stockport Road, through Cheadle Village, then left on Cheadle Road towards Cheadle Hulme, right onto Broadway, under Kingsway, back up Kingsway then through the underpass back under Kingsway and home.
